Research conducted by Penfold and Grant as early as 1925 demonstrated the ability of Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil to act as a powerful disinfectant. Their research demonstrated that it was a more powerful disinfectant than the more well-know Tea Tree Oil!
Potential Uses:
This oil works wonderfully in the following products: Personal care products – Effective against transient skin bacteria (The Utilisation of Australian Native Oils for the Control of Transient Bacteria in Skin Care Products). Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil performs better than Tea Tree Oil in some instances! Hand soaps and lotions – Research indicates that it is highly effective against S. aureus. Natural insect repellents – May be used in conjunction with Tree Oil Odor mask – Used effectively to mask the medicinal aroma of Tea Tree Oil. Common ratio used is 1 part Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil to 9 parts Tea Tree Oil.
