The Seccombe family comes from a long line of farmers; our farming roots date back to 12th century England. In 1844 our family moved to Australia where the farming tradition has continued throughout the six generations of Australians. Robert, Elaine and John Seccombe created Robel Plantation in 1995 to produce essential oils.
In addition to producing their own oil, Robel Plantation also offers consulting, harvesting, maintenance and distilling services. Tea Tree mulch is another significant product of Robel Plantation. This mulch is heavily sought after by Australians for its natural ability to control weeds and fertilize plants.

This eco-friendly plantation spans 567 hectares between the fertile banks of Maria River and Limeburners National Park. Maria River Plantation delivers premier essential oil products through strict quality controls, research and innovation.
The plantation is a haven for native species such as koala colonies, kangaroos, kookaburras, numerous small marsupials, birds and aquatic life. Environmentally sustainable practices are an integral part of our plantation management strategies. Maria River Plantation currently produces: Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree); Leptospermum petersonii (Lemon Scented Tea Tree); Melaleuca bracteate (White Cloud); and Melaleuca quinquinervia (Nerolidol).
John and Michelle Seccombe operate the plantation. Their company, Australian Essential Services, is one of the largest harvesting, distilling and management companies in Australia.
