Unlike monoculture farming, the Eucalyptus kochii trees grow in symbiosis with other crops, a method known as intercropping, to maintain a healthy ecosystem. When Eucalyptus is grown in foreign ecosystems, often in monoculture conditions, it can pose a risk to the soil, the local wildlife, and water supply of local communities.
