Do not be fooled by the name. Lemon Scented Tea Tree, is the oil derived from the Australian native plant, Leptospermum petersonii, has a strong lemony aroma. Lemon Scented Tea Tree is not even of the same botanical genus as the well-recognized Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia).

Lemon Scented Tea Tree is rich in uplifting citrals. This botanical has been dubbed the “happy oil” at Down Under for its fresh and invigorating aroma. It opens with sweet fresh citrus notes and slowly transitions into fatty and more herbal undertones. This aromatic citrus profile cues cleanliness and at the same time refreshes your senses.
1:7 Masking Tea Tree's aroma
Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil is often the secret weapon for formulators to mask the strong odor of Tea Tree Oil and archive a synergistic antimicrobial boost. The Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil masks the herbaceous odor of Tea Tree Oil at a 1:7 ratio.
1:5 Boosting Tea Tree's antibacterial potency
The two oils in combination work better against bacteria. A study from Macquarie University, Australia (Phytoquest) demonstrated four times greater potency against Staphylococcus aureus than for Tea Tree Oil alone (Stockley et al., 2011) . The MIC of Tea Tree Oil alone for S. aureus improves from 1% to just 0.25% when a combination of Lemon Scented and Tea Tree Oil is employed in a 1:5 ratio.
