Aroma:

Soft, floral, rosy aroma

Therapeutic Properties:

“The major constituent linalool is known to be a good antiseptic, spasmolytic and anticonvulsant. Researchers at the enthopharmacology laboratory at the University in Porto Alegre, Brazil, have shown the linalool has effective sedative effects and is rapidly absorbed through the skin and nasal mucosa.

A wonderful oil for upper respiratory tract congestion and infections, particularly in small children. The oil is a gentle expectorant with good anti-infectious properties. Topical use on acne, boils, tinea, herpes, It is a very ‘yin’ oil, being calming and relaxing, ideal for sleep and stress disorders” (Mark A. Webb, Bush Sense).

Potential Uses:

Research indicates its effectiveness against transient skin bacteria, making the oil a wonderful addition in personal skin care products (The Utilisation of Australian Native Oils for the Control of Transient Bacteria in Skin Care Products). The “rosy” aroma also lends itself to being a replacement for other more expensive “rosy” scented oils.
